John Kok is the President and Senior Financial Advisor of Navigator Financial. John has more than 40 years of experience in the financial services industry and is well-regarded by his peers, staff, associates, and clients. John has delivered hundreds of presentations to industry groups as well as the general public on the subjects of estate, charitable, financial, retirement and investment planning.
John has earned the following designations and degree: Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (Ch FC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC), Certified Executor Advisor (CEA), Certified Kingdom Advisor (CKA), and a Masters in Theological Studies.
He is a member in good standing of the following professional organizations and subscribes to their respective codes of ethics and rules of conduct: Canadian Institute of Financial Planners, Canadian Institute of Gift Planners, Canadian Institute of Certified Executor Advisors, and the Estate Planning Council of Edmonton. John is a former board member of the Bissell Centre and of Grant MacEwan College and has served as an industry consultant to numerous organizations including University of Alberta, Baptist General Conference, Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), and Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) to name but a few.
John is married to Valerie who is also active with Navigator. They have two grown sons, Josh and Michael. John enjoys traveling, reading, writing, teaching, photography, fitness, and especially his children and his beautiful grandchildren, Quinn, Isla, Amelia and one on the way.

Loni works closely with John in providing our clients with updated meeting reports and documentation as as well as trouble-shooting any issues on their behalf with financial institutions. Loni has been a Navigator team member since September 2003. She grew up on a cattle ranch in Saskatchewan and attended the University of Lethbridge with plans to be a math teacher. She soon realized that financial planning, rather than teaching, was her passion. Loni is married and they have three daughters. They enjoy spending time together with family and friends, are actively involved in their church and most of all enjoy watching their daughters in their activities.

Valerie is responsible for the company finances at Navigator, which include creating financial reports and to liaise with the President and corporate accountant on financial matters. She has been very active in the local church; serving as Board Chair, and various other duties. Today, her focus is on small group ministry.
Jessica, as a daughter of missionaries, was born and raised in Brazil where she got to know and love Christ and do volunteer work with the church. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing and worked as a nurse for Chain of Love Homes Ministries. She moved to Canada in 2015 and found herself in a change of careers initiating her walk in Finances where she found her talent in administrative work. She is married and has two very busy children. She is responsible for all administrative duties at Navigator Financial Services Inc.
